“Province driving school closures”
Get ready, “school closings are coming to a neighbourhood near you”, said Janet Bojti, a respected adult learning instructor, neighbourhood organizer and member of CPE’s Save Our School’s committee, in an interview on CKLN 88.1 FM’s “Word of Mouth” last night. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-p_WbQrL44g&feature=player_embedded
Some of the city’s most disadvantaged communities are facing the prospect of school closings next year. The Regents Park and St Jamestown neighbourhoods along Parliament Street seem to be next in line.
The 2nd of only 4 public meetings in the TDSB’s ward 14 school review process for 9 downtown east side schools is being held on Tuesday, April 12 at Duke of York Public School, 20 Regent Street at 7pm.
